Brief: Rejuvenate the original label design with a design that is modern and compelling
Agency: Form and Affect*
Konzelmann is a Canadian winery that distributes its wines across Canada and globally. Their famous wine duo, Canada Red and Canada White, required a redesign. Alongside the Form & Affect team, this design was proposed as a potential for their label redesign. This is a modern take on their original labels, defining Canadian landscapes through implied geometry and both bottles connect through this feature. Together, both bottles tell a story of Canadian culture and the beauty the land holds while sipping on a beautifully crafted merlot or riesling wine.
The Lakehaus White features a mountain range while the Lakehaus red features boat oars. This connects the Canadian North (mountain range) with the south (great lakes). Each design also features a sun and a moon, the sun featuring the intensity of the merlot and the moon visualizing the relaxation of the riesling. Each bottle also features a moose emblem, playing homage to their original design. Combined, these labels fit together like a yin and yang, complimenting one another while being unique as individuals.
